LillyRetreat Program Writer & Clinical Trauma-led Psychotherapist
Lilly has been providing integrated patient-led psychotherapy in Hampshire since 2001, in which time she has focused her clinical time and research on how trauma and stress influence our behaviour, mood, bodily systems and belief structures.
Over a period of almost 20 years she has helped, supported and worked with thousands of people who lives have been affected by childhood, family or relational upset, grief and traumatic events.
She has two busy clinical hubs in Hampshire and Berkshire which holistically view the way emotional and physical issues and complaints of the human brain and body can manifest in times of stress. She continues to improve her knowledge and experience on a daily basis due to the diversity of clients and the concerns that she works with.
Lilly is a voracious reader and enjoys constantly learning, challenging and researching contemporary approaches that push the boundaries of her integrated psychotherapeutic approach.
Her ongoing research is based on how childhood adversity can influence adult long-term health conditions – in particular psychosomatic and hard to treat complaints.
She is also working with her chosen team of health professionals to progress an approach to mental health that incorporates mind, body and brain processes – the model of intervention that is being developed through the clinical and residential work she is doing is based on “soma-influenced-tracking-therapy” (S.I.T.T.). This mode of intervention, when dealing with long term and resistant health conditions can affect the sub-structures that have been enlisted by the brain to cope with such trauma to overcome and relinquish unhelpful or harmful habits and behaviours – some of which will be unconscious. (i.e you will not be aware of why you do certain things or why you react in certain ways to people and situations) It can also break-through where other therapies have failed, and release held tension, reactions to stress and ultimately improve, depression, anxiety, regular/constant pain, blood pressure, bowel function, clarity of mind, motivation and confidence in your ability to embrace life.
In 2012 Lilly identified the positive impact intensive therapy can offer, creating our holistic health retreats. On these, she enjoys spending time with each ‘retreater’ individually and in the classes she holds. She ‘walks the talk’ and loves the components of wellbeing, integrating them as a philosophy into not only her life but the lives of those she is privileged to share time with.
She has experienced her own fair share of trauma, upset and childhood difficulties and believes that this (with her own regular supervision, CPD and wellbeing therapy) enables her to connect, care and fully understand how to use her knowledge and experience to its best affect.
She is at present working on her writing and hopes to publish in 2020.

LeeChiropractic Extremity Practitioner, Tai Chi & QiGong Instructor
Before Lee Wickham qualified as a Chiropractor, gym instruction and shiatsu gave him a good introduction to exercise application & early development of a therapeutic, intuitive touch. In 2000 he volunteered at Polyclinica in Cuba as a chiropractic student.
Lee gained certification in chiropractic extremity techniques to be recognised as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner. He completed Post Registration Training (PRT) at Winchester Chiropractic Clinic culminating in the professional courtesy award of Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the European Chiropractors Union Board of Education.
In 2010 Lee received a Practitioner Diploma in Qi Gong (ancient Chinese Exercise) from the London College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. His interests in this led him to being a guest opening speaker at the World Chiropractic Student Congress in 2014.
In 2011, Lee became part of a steering committee to develop a chiropractic degree course at Kingston University. Further academic study achieved a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Governance from the University of South Wales in 2011.
In 2015 Lee grabbed an opportunity to experience 3.5 months of yoga training, giving him insights into the similarities and differences between ancient Chinese, ancient Indian exercise systems and western physical activity, exercise and neuro-rehabilitative movements. This had a positive impact on his practice techniques, giving him further skills to help people with a wider range of physical and neuromuscular issues.
A change in the UK law limiting Lee’s practise scope in 2016 sparked legal scholarship firstly in the form of Med Co certification to assess Whiplash trauma and secondly in an LLM degree (Legal Aspects of Medical Practise) from Cardiff University in 2019.
Lee practises a patient-led integrated approach to muscle and joint concerns drawing on the ancient and the modern, psychological and physical aspects of pain. Within Chiropractic treatments he practises the SOT technique a (mostly gentle) full spine approach to feeling better.Contact Me
IanChiropractor / Physical Practitioner
Ian spent a good proportion of his youth as a competitive swimmer. He still loves watersports and regularly pushes his level of fitness towards competing in Triathlons. He approaches his passion for wellbeing in the same way, by working with those who wish to be better or who want to retain their flexibility and fitness, by helping the body and mind to work synergistically together to achieve neuromuscular stabilisation whilst protecting the integrity of the body and its organs: An ideal approach for injury, rehabilitation and pain management.
He studied at Glamorgan University and qualified as a Chiropractor in 2001. Working alongside eminent UK Chiropractors, he was awarded his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the European Chiropractors Union Board of Education, following his PRT (Post Registration Training scheme) year at the Cowbridge Chiropractic and Spinal Rehabilitation Clinic.
Due to his interest in neurology and how this plays itself out in the body through chronic pain, he studied Western Medical Acupuncture and received a Post Graduate qualification in 2007. He uses acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy to his gentle, yet effective, patient-led manual approach and achieves good results with those patients who cannot tolerate or dislike a traditional ‘chiropractic’ approach.
In 2012, he was able to study under the tutelage of Karel Lewit and Pavel Kolar learning Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation, both in the UK and Czech Republic. This knowledge and insight into how joint dysfunction occurs and how to treat them has given him a better understanding of rehabilitation, sports injury, neuro issues and how to inform the brain to change and heal.
He has travelled across the Continent and settled for a few years in Germany, learning the language and practicing as a Chiropractor in a busy Clinic, a mean feat in itself, with the jargon and terminology ! He appreciates how that informed his knowledge on the anatomy and physiology of the human body and is not phased by any presenting issues.
He has worked for the past 5 years with Lilly in a diverse and challenging clinical environment, where a holistic approach to dysfunction and pain is primary to the consultation process and subsequent treatment
He is currently studying a Master’s degree in Medical Sonography at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic University College, specialising in Musculo-Skeletal Ultrasound Diagnosis.
His other interests include watersports, triathlon and two allotments. He has also been known to provide swimming and breathing technique lessons to lucky recipients on our residential Retreats!Contact Me
RichieRetreat Director & Health Practitioner
Richie has always had an appreciation of music and technology. He spent a good proportion of his early career as a nightclub DJ, radio presenter & working on outside broadcast events. He has project managed many important events from National sports cup matches, employee reward nights and celebration party events.
He gave his time freely for 10 years on an annual basis to help with the British Airways charity ‘Dreamflight’, as a cameraman and video editor. As an added touch, he produced two 90 minute feature films each year for the two groups of children and their families as a keepsake.
He loves helping to achieve happiness and for the past 7 years has worked as a compere at the famous Ealing Half Marathon and (when he has time) still comperes at British Heart Foundation events – a charity he has worked with for 16 years.
He was an avid fan of Ice Hockey and was the announcer on match nights, even fulfilling one of his goals of commentating on Cup matches live on ITV.
He is a recipient of industry awards for presenting, DJing and compering and can be seen occasionally getting back in the saddle for private friends & family occasions and even on the retreats!
In the early clinical days of Life Right, his focus was logistics, computer interface, audio downloads and website creation. Inspired by the stories of people’s courage and will to improve their health status, he retrained in music therapy at Roehampton University and then went on to master his skills in clinical reflexology, Indian Head Massage, sports massage and aroma-hypnotherapy.
He is a valuable part of the Team and will organize your travel, appointments and ultimate experience, whether that is on a residential retreat or in one of our consulting hubs. He is also one of the holistic practitioners who can provide massage and audio interventions and treatments on our retreats.
Richie is a keen Formula 1 fan and has previously sung with a Marillion & Pink Floyd tribute band. In his spare time to relax, he can be heard playing piano, drums and guitar, although rarely at the same time!Contact Me
K.B.Front of House Manager & Health Practitioner
K.B. joined Life Right in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience to the team in many health and wellbeing disciplines, making her an invaluable member of the team. After battling a life-changing autoimmune disease in her late teens, she eventually began her career in the City of London in a high-pressure job as a Foreign Exchange dealer for five years. When she realised that the world of finance did not stimulate her passion for caring for people, she sought a more nurturing environment and trained as a teacher, firstly studying English at the University of York, then passing a PGCE from Oxford Brookes.
She soon proceeded to fulfill her dream of traveling around the world which began in Italy, teaching in Sicily for four years and Florence for two years. She then took a job in the Middle East, working at a British International School in Dubai for four years. After this she accepted a teaching position in Shanghai and stayed there for five years, traveling around China whenever she could.
This led to a new passion within the field of alternative health. She became fascinated by the Eastern philosophies of healing and nourishing the body, convincing her to train in transcendental meditation. She continues to practice and learn complementary ways to stay well and motivated.
Upon her return to the UK, she became a teaching Housemistress in a top-flight boarding school in Winchester. Being still plagued by intermittent health issues, she reconnected, with a school friend, Lilly Wickham, the founder of Life Right Health and Wellbeing. Lilly helped her face up to her issues, some of which were unconscious, and after a full recovery was asked to join the Life Right Team.
She has enjoyed helping people on our retreats ever since. Through her experience of allopathic and complimentary medicine, she provides a balanced and calm demeanour, equipping her well to be that sage listening ear, always lots of TLC.Contact Me
